Why is the issue of bullying of particular interest to you?

It is my research area - clinically involved with lots of anxious children who have experienced bullying. Clinical and research interests are the prevention and intervention of anxiety disorders in young people and the effects of bullying, especially cyberbullying in schools.

Where do you believe you have made a difference in your field?

Via my research into cyberbullying and my international research connections.

How has your area of expertise helped you to contribute to NCAB over the years?

I have helped NCAB to:

• Deliver a seminar in Tasmania for National Buddy Week 2011
• Conduct its 2010 NCAB conference by participating in a symposium on cyberbullying and the law
• Participate in media interviews
• Organise the 2012 NCAB conference, 'Social Media, Bullying and Vulnerability - Connect. Respect. Protect'.
